Inspiration

For this project, we are require choosing an infographic to improvise for a better look based on visual hierarchy & typography.

Figure 1.1 Inspiration Poster
I use this reference that cut from a whole poster as Mr Fauzi suggested me that just take one part of the poster to do it, as the whole poster is containing to much of information that can be separate into different session, I just use the alert level part to do it.
Figure 1.2 Inspiration
For the new design, I need to do some research regarding on the alert level of volcano as this session just showing the name of each alert level, no action that can be taken if other go into there.
After I do some research on it, each country have its own volcano alert level, I choose to do for Japan, as it's one of the tourist sports that many people will go to visit in Asia.
This PDF file is the research I did and use as the info for my project 1 poster design

Reflection

Reflecting on my project about volcano alert levels, I found the process both challenging and rewarding. Redesigning the infographic poster required a deep understanding of visual hierarchy and typography, which helped me simplify complex information into an easily digestible format. The use of color, shape, and pattern played a crucial role in making the poster visually appealing while maintaining clarity. Transitioning to the animated infographic was an exciting step, as it allowed me to bring static information to life. Creating a 15-30 second loop animation in a vertical format pushed me to think creatively about how to convey the urgency and importance of volcano alert levels in a concise yet engaging manner. Overall, this project enhanced my design skills and deepened my appreciation for the power of visual communication in conveying critical information.
